Some time ago, I really needed to buy a good car for my firm but I didn't have enough cash and couldn't buy something. Thank God my dude proposed to get the business loans from creditors. So, I acted so and used to be happy with my commercial loan.

I was given Leavquin 750MG for a sinus infection. On the 2nd day of a 10 day regiment, my ear suddnely burst into screaming tinnitus. After 5 days, the tinnitus lessened and I was left with what I call "hypersensitive hearing." This sensation evolved over the next for months into hyperacusis. I want it to be known that I stopped taking the Levaquin on the 2nd day, the minute the ringing started. Now, about 6 months later, I have hyperacusis and am suicidal and depressed every waking moment. I don't know if the depression and suicidal feelings are the result of the levaquin directly, or if they are the result of the ear issues causing me to feel this way. Either way, the levaquin has ruined my life and made me, who until this drug was possibly the happiest person on the planet, wish I was dead.

Levaquin is poison. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!!! It has robbed me of my happiness, my carreer, my peace of mind, my personality. I would give everything to have not taken those two pills.

Would it be possible to get a copy of the letter also.I was poisoned by Levaquin and I am still playing the DR.game and would like to have something to prove that I am not crazy.

I stopped levaquin after 6 days because I developed burning and tingling in my feet, legs and arms.

It has been almost 3 weeks since I stopped and I am still having the side effects.

What should I be doing to start treating this condition now to hopefully head off worse effects later?

I only took two doses of Avalox, one in the night time and one in the morning.  After my first dose I was very fearful.  I figured I was just reacting to my sinus infection that I was being treated for.  After the morning dose a coule hours later I could not get out of bed, I was weak, numb, dizzy, extremely fearful, heart palpitations, and I thought I was dying or was experiencing Guilanne Barre Syndrome.

The ambulance was called and I went to the hospital.  As the day progressed the neuropathy improved greatly and I could go home.  They told me to stop taking Avalox and consider it an adverse reaction and not to take it again.

I can't believe I had such a severe reaction after taking only TWO pills.  I pray they take this horrible drug off the market.

Im new to this, was floxxed for only 3 days at 500 mg per day and I can not walk on my left foot, my right foot is trying to swell, my back is out, my right leg feels likes its so tight that its inches shorter than it was, my knees and elbows are now beginning to swell.

Is there anything I can take or do to help get better?

I'm a triathlete who took cipro in the past and two months ago I took Levaquin and I'm now having tendon issues mostly in my left Achilles, it's not so bad but feels not right. Given this website is filled with data on these powerful and concerning drugs and their side effects is there any data or resources on what is being done to improve, get over these effects, perhaps these manufactures will be force to come up with a product to reverse what thier drugs have created in many people. I would be very greatful for any information on how to go forward with healing and overcomming this.

I took Factive (the latest release of this drug type) not listed anywhere here, for only 5 days for a sinus infection.  Symptoms did not occur until later, so I did not put it together, I am sure like many.  I expected the side effects to take place within the dosage.  After an MRI of the brain and CT of sinus, appointments with ENT, Eye Dr. and neurologist, I was told nothing wrong, probably migraine headache, possible neuropathy, come back in December, we will see how you are doing. Like many others, I felt I was crazy.  After doing my own research, I know it is this drug.  The neuropathy is now raging now throughout  my entire body.  I am just hoping it stops soon without too much damage. 

I have encouraged every one I know not to take these drugs.  I have also known of three other people  that had similar symptoms to mine and advised them to check to see what medications they were given.  All responded a Zpac.  I would not give up.  I repeatedly called them to see if it was a Zpac or a medicine packaged like a Zpac like I took, two out of the 3 so far took Leviquine, not even knowing what they are taking.

I soon will be contacting the neuro to see what his opinion is regarding the Factive I took.  Some of the Drs. make me feel I am crazy.  I know my health and my body and I know this is not normal.

Just needed to talk to others with the same health problems created by this drug.  I am glad this web site is out here.

I can only assume many people have taken these drugs and have these symptoms and have no idea why.

After 3-4 days on 500 mg of Levaquin for bronchitis, I experienced 80% hearing loss in my left ear which has not resolved. Does anyone know if there is any hope of recovery from this hearing loss or do I just have to suffer with it?
